Making Progress...
This is the view from our local library! I take the girls there every other week or so now and love this view! I'm really enjoying the patchwork group, and bring my Dear Jane quilt there to work on while I chat about quilting! How cool to find other people in real life that like quilting and fabric as much as I do...
I've finished the 3rd border on the Dear Jane quilt and now have to attach it. After getting the last border on, I'll need to do another plain border that will eventually be the scalloped edge...90 inches of straight sewing plain muslin is not going to be very exciting, especially done 4 times! Oh well!
Everyone seems to be posting goals for the month, so I think I'll join in!
1. Finish Dear Jane top
2. Start Crazy Quilting practice and Joggles.com class!
Since the first goal is a doozy, I don't think I'll add much to this list. I think this year I am not going to do too many hand made presents... in November, I will try to finish a baby quilt for a friend I will see in December, and maybe something for my parents for their new house, a small quilt...everything else will be bought!

glad you've found a group that you're enjoying. And it'll be wonderful to see the DJ done. I imagine publicly saying its a goal will help keep you at the plain muslin sewing...
I know what you mean about hand made Xmas presents. That's what I usually do, but I may have to skip it this year. Just too much going on and I want to actually enjoy the Xmas season.
What a lovely view, with the quaint buildings and the still water!
Glad you've found some quilt friends.
Jeanne :)
That view from your library almost doesn't look real - it looks like a painting.
It sounds like your DJ will soon be finished. What an accomplishment!
That is quite a list.
Beautiful view. Fills the soul..
What a lovely view, it would be very easy to head to the library when you have scenery like that awaiting you. Gosh you've done a wonderful job on your DJ, you're really on the home stretch now!
*hugs*

Wow, I'd want to go check out a book, then take a blanket out by the water and read. :)
I'll bet your quilty friends are REALLY impressed with the Dear Jane.
I agree, that is a beautiful view. And your Dear Jane is looking wonderful. Sounds like you have settled into the new town very well.
I am so happy to hear that you are settling into your new area - sometimes moving can be so hard.
Great progress on your DJ!!!
Cheers!
Evelyn
It is so nice to hear that you have found quilting friends to pass the time with. What a fantastic view! Your goal for this month - to finish your DJ top is a huge one! Good luck.
Lovely view from the library! I think once the leaves are gone, I'll be able to see our library across the inlet. Good luck with the Dear Jane. Very cool that you have a great quilting group there!
I love visiting libraries - this is a great view.
I just found a small Bee group this year and now I'm moving. I'm glad you're enjoying your group - I'm going to miss mine.
What a lovely view. It seems an ideal place to sit and stitch and chat with quilty friends. And look how far you are on your DJ!
What a view out the Library window!!!
Someday maybe I will try that DJ...its so, a very big project :O) !! You have done such a nice job!!
Oh I do so admire your endurance and persistence on the DJ. You're doing aq great job. It looks so beautiful, and good that you have friends to quilt it with.
I love seeing pictures of the various places and countries we live. What a terrific view to see frequently.
That view makes me want to hop a plane, right now! Good luck with goal #1!!!
I love the view! Which CQ joggles class are you taking? I'm taking Sharon's that starts on the 18th - I think. It might be the other one. I forget! It isn't the personal stitches one.
Haven't heard from you in a while so thought i'd check in on you. That DJ quilt is a beautiful piece of work! I know you're ready for it to be completed. Your home is coming alongn nicely, too. You must be excited. Don't know that I'd want to leave the library with that goregous view - wow! Don't know that I'll be into knitting this year... I'm also taking Sharon's class at Joggles - the embellishment one that begins 10/18.
