Moving Day...Friday?
Blogger has disappeared several posts in the last week...it is getting a little frustrating. Here are the few things I was going to show...my collection of sewing tins...the sampler one I got from a thrift store for 10 cents! It holds my threads...and other sewing stuff... The house one has my basting pins...it is a tin I bought in Giverny in France...it is Claude Monets house... The Cream of Wheat tin is my traveling sewing kit...with a spool of hand piecing thread (mettler) and some #12 sharp needles, a small scissors and seam ripper...
The other photo is the last pillow I did for Aine's favorite teacher. Aine helped me pick out the scraps for it and had great fun.I'm so tired and stressed these days with the move. The purchaser's lawyer hasn't sent back everything, so we are not sure about Friday, though the mover is booked already. I can't wait to be settled somewhere again!
Anyway, I hope I don't get kicked out of the ring from lack of posting, I hope to be back within a week, but if not, I'm drowning in a sea of boxes. I shall return and get back to my regularly scheduled quilting!

uauHere's positive thoughts and prayers that you DO get to move on Friday. I'm sure the whole process is really starting to get to you.
I know that feeling about moving. I moved to a new apartment at easter time. I wish you the best and I am sure you will feel good as soon as your sewing room is ready and you sit down and sew.
Cathi, I am sure that Judy will cut you some slack as she knew this move was coming up--though you are not so sure, it sounds like? It will take some time to get settled and the computer set up.
The Heart pillow is adorable---do you have a future quilter in the making?
Moving is such a stressful time. My heart goes out to you. And speaking of hearts - your heart pillow is adorable.

Cathi--hope all goes well on friday--crossing our fingers for ya! Cute little heart pillow! And don't worry about posting--we all know what you are doing and will wait anxiously to hear that you are settled in your new home, snug as a bug in a rug. :)
The tins are great, what a buy on the one! I love tins, too, and have a few stored in Phoenix. It's a tradition in our family to have sewing boxes that are Whitman's Sampler tins. I have one for applique, one for embroidery, and one waiting empty in the cabinet. Maybe I'll put the CQ in there!
Moving is frustrating, even when all goes well. I hope that everything moves ahead for you for Friday.
The pillow is great! And I'm sure there will be no problem on the few days of no posting. Some people don't post for several weeks at a time.

Good luck with the move! I've just moved and my quilting projects are certainly keeping me from being lonely. On the other hand, I'm not exactly meeting people sitting in my quilting room!

Cathi, thanks for posting...if Judy can be patient with me you have nothing to be worried about, the ring will be here for you.

Do what you can to take care of yourself during this move, it will be good to all be in one place again.
Good luck - we hope to be moving soon too. (Either mid-Sept. or mid-Oct. depending on wether or not the seller is going to "rent back" or not.)
Good luck with the move - love the tins - I'm sure give it a month or two and you'll be all settled and look back wondering what all the fuss was about :o)
I hope your move all goes well Cathie, it can be such hard work, I heard somewhere it's one of the most stressful things you can do. We're all here to hold your hand, just reach out!
