Some Dear Jane progress again...finally

Last night I sat and stitched the last bit of the bottom border on to the quilt. I'm slowly making progress... Now to get the rest of the borders ready to stitch, will make it easier when we move to have a "little" hand project while the sewing machine is in transit, LOL. I don't really have a desk for it yet, we plan to build the office later, so will need to get a cheap temporary fix for computer/sewing desk. I might just take a little break from machine sewing for a while and focus on hand sewing, after August 25th, our (hopefully) official moving date! Posted by Picasa

Cathi I am in awe of your Dear Jane. This is turning our just stunning! Where do you find the time to get so much done on this? I don't recall reading what your plans for Dear Jane are once it is finished? What a treasure you have beautifully created.

All I can say is WOW. One day, I am going to attempt this quilt. Yours is gorgeous. Makes we want to abandon all others and start this one.

Wow your DJ looks so good. LOL I hate handsewing myself, so try to do that as little as I can. Lucky for me with my last move I wasn't sewing yet.

Your DJ is wonderful - 3 borders left isn't much after all you've finished! Are you just moving houses?

Your DJ is coming along beautifully :-) I have to try some liberated letter piecing one of these days. Yours looks smashing good. I am contemplating another DJ, in 6" blocks, in 2 colours. Oh - it must be the heat frying my brain ;-) 25. will be here before you know. Happy planning !

Cathi,
Your quilt is gorgeous! This is my first encounter with DJ, and it totally impresses me that you’ve got one to this point. Simply beautiful.
Maybe you’ll get to practice a little CQ while you’re without machine – just in time . Thank you for sharing your lovely work. Charlene in SC

Wow, what a beautiful Dear Jane quilt! I've always admired them but knew I didn't have the patience to work on one quilt for that long. How long have you been working on it?
